Throughout the school year of 2025-2026 I lead a training with the UWF cyber club focusing on blue teaming. In the fall semester I helped train new club members, both freshmen who were completely new to the field and upperclassmen who wanted to put in some extra work outside of their classes. Here I was able to teach the basics of blue teaming through short lectures and labs in order to get them all comfortable and independent when blue teaming. This culminated on November 15th where our cyber club hosted an UWF argoblue competition for our cyber club members. Here in this competition members who showed up to my training alongside other members who just showed up for the normal club time were able to work together to compete in a simulated blue teaming scenario. This competition was created when our usual blue team event for beginners hivestorm got cancelled so our cyber club officers got together to create a similar event to hivestorm for our members to make sure our newbies are looked after. Following this, over winter break and into the spring semester I continued our training however I started focusing on more and more advanced topics so that we would be prepared for our high level event of the Collegiate Cyber Defence Competition (CCDC). While maybe not as helpful for any members joining the club exceptionally late into the school year, it helped elevate any member who wanted to get serious about representing our school in competitions. This once again culminated in late February where we competed together in CCDC. Overall it was awesome to see new members in the cyber club go from complete beginners on many cybersecurity topics to close to experts that I am sure will continue to grow after I graduate.
